Skyscanner

"Search engine for cheap flights in Europe and Australasia. The fastest way to find the cheapest low cost airline prices. Comprehensive airline and route information for Europe and Australasia."

Comprehensive Search

The above was a blurb from the Sky Scanner website. Skyscanner is genuinely useful as a search facility to find cheap flights. With just a few bits of information, starting city, destination and dates of travel, Skyscanner makes a comprehensive search of all available flights from all available airlines. It is possible to effectively filter the Sky Scanner search results to get the flight to the destination you want.

My Cheap Flight to Marseille

As an example, I found Skyscanner useful recently when checking for a low cost flight to Marseille (MRS). The Sky Scanner search I made returned results from the online travel agents Opodo and Expedia and also direct flights from Ryanair, easyjet and British Airways. Skyscanner was much more useful than checking each of these individually for the cheapest flight. Actually, I didn't choose the cheapest flight but chose a good deal from British Airways.

Indirect Flights

Skyscanner also gave me the opportunity to make further searches for indirect with Iberia Airways, KLM, TAP Portugal Airways, Airfrance, SAS Scandinavian Airlines and Brussels Airlines. Had I made these searches with SKY scanner individually I would have had more options to choose cheap indirect flights with these airlines.

Skyscanner is well worth using as a start to your search for a cheap flight. You can always use the information to then visit the airline or travel agent offering the best deal from the Sky scanner search results if you prefer to book direct.
