National Express
The National Express Coach Company runs a nationwide coach service all over the United Kingdom. National Express have a huge station in Victoria, London which is where I travelled recently from when heading off to Bradford in Yorkshire.
Fun Fares
Did you know that you can book to almost anywhere in the country in advance and travel by coach in comfort for just one pound with National Express? Well, you can.... and that is how I got up to Bradford and back for just £2 return!
As of April 2009 these were the destinations and starting points with National Express that were available for their "Fun Fare" £1 tickets:

Of course, not all of these destinations may be available at any particular time, so you will need to check the system yourself. Choose "Find our lowest coach fares" from the National Express main page and look around from there - Good Luck!
Booking Tickets Online
Booking tickets for coach travel online ewith National Express is simple. The main website (see below) offers the opportunity for you to select your starting point for travel, your destination and departure date and time. Interestingly, it is also possible to book train tickets direct from the main National Express page but I haven't tried this service.
